Pioneer Artist of The Beginnings Concert To Be Honored at June 14th Ceremony

Nashville, TN (June 9, 2008) - Pioneer recording artist David Meece will be among the newest inductees to enter the Christian Music Hall of Fame at the June 14, 2008 ceremony at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. He joins fellow 2008 Christian Music Hall of Fame inductees Michael W. Smith, Dottie Rambo, John Schlitt (lead singer of Petra), Stryper, Ed Enoch, Lou Wills Hildreth and The Staple Singers. During the event, which is slated to begin at 7:00 p.m. CST, Meece will be performing his classic hit song "We Are The Reason," which can be seen on the upcoming The Beginnings Concert DVD/CD collection.

"When I look at the list of artists being inducted, I find it quite humbling, and I am honored to be in their ranks," says Meece.

The Beginnings Concert, an all-new live concert DVD/CD collection, features fresh performances by some of the founding pioneers of contemporary Christian music, including Dallas Holm, Leon Patillo, Barry McGuire, Don Francisco, Chuck Girard, Steve Archer, Janny Grein, Dony McGuire, Reba Rambo McGuire and David Meece. The four-disc The Beginnings Concert DVD/CD collection features three hours of music (with 27 unique live performances), testimonies and bonus features. The first DVD disc showcases individual original performances by each of the artists, along with artist testimonies between songs. The second DVD disc gathers all of the artists around a piano, joining together to bring to life some of the best-known classics from each artist in the group.
